Vampires Then & Now
The Best Vampires ever to me are Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee and the vampire in Salem's Lot....
What is the most insane vampire flick everyone has ever seen? Mine was DRACULA'S DOG (haha a vampire dog) and BLACULA (i think that was truly brilliant during the day of Blaxploitation flicks, William Marshall is remembered for this role)

PHANTASM: RAVAGER
PHANTASM: RAVAGER (2016)
The Rating: 10 skulls
The story continues with the Tall Man vs. Reggie/Mike/Jody and this installment brings a final ending, as we saw Angus Scrimm (The Tall Man) pass away from natural causes, Scrimm's Tall Man has become iconic to the horror fans of the world and essentially to the b-movie/cult film world, he is Phantasm, but then so is Reggie, the only other actor whos been in every PHANTASM film since the first one in 1979...If you dont wanna see spoilers: do not look any further: The best part of this film was the 5 victims of the sphere (including a horse) and the opening shot has Reggie get a ride from a Man who stole his Hemicuda, he said "Get the fuck out of my car" and made him dress almost naked and stole his clothes, driving away, the spheres that were stalking Reggie came down the road, the man saw them and went Oh shit and as he ran the sphere pierced the back of his head, out came the drill, all over the highway the guys blood splatters everywhere... Then Reggie keeps flipping back to the netherworld fighting dwarves, spheres, and the real Reggie is battling Alzheimers in a unit, Reggie comes to a farm and meets Dawn and her ranchhand, and soon the spheres kill the both of them and their horse, Reggie meets a dwarf and Jane (a Dawn lookalike) and finally sees Mike, Mike shows him the Tall Man's world, then he finally gets a visit from a very he sees a very much alive Jody and Mike in the netherworld and the past is explained in 2 dimensions, and then in the netherworld, they finally stop the Tall Man in a apocalyptic setting, The Tall Man is finally taken down, Reggie passes away before Jody and Mike's eyes at the hospital, somewhere far away the dwarf comes out of the two poles and theres Rocky waiting for him, ready to kick some zombie ass.... Great finale for this movie!!!!

THE FOG
THE FOG (1980) (MY FIRST REVIEW)
Rating: 10 Skulls
Okay perhaps im easy to Please, the remarkable casting of JAMIE LEE CURTIS, ADRIENNE BARBEAU, HAL HOLBROOK, JANET LEIGH goes above and beyond to any film with a big name cast, this really does it, this basically is a "whos who" cast of horror, ok theres some cheese, the one "slasher moment' where the Pirate kills Al's friend, you see no blood (ok Carpenter tried to capitalize on the Halloween system of "no blood, leave everything to the imagination") but the thing was Why would you go out and scream "Whos out there, whooo issss that" id run like hell, wouldnt you, especially in a fog bank? The best part of the film is definitely a mothers fear for her child, Adrienne Barbeau's classic performances of showing fear for Andy and then kicking the ass of the pirates attacking her on the roof, i also enjoyed how she seemed to be separated by the rest of the cast, she only talked to Dan and Nick on the phone, the feel of being isolated while the world is being ripped apart has to be terrifying enough... The best scene is Father Malone, all happy that Midnight has passed, here is the pirate wanting his gold, off with his head, the decapitation scene was a great cliffhanger to an amazing movie, i put this as Carpenter/Hill's finest moment, the eerieness of it, the story itself grabbed you, all the little supernatural scares that made you jump in the night, a real good old ghost story, and nothing and i mean nothing Beats this music in this movie, the synthesized beats were chilling enough even if you had no fog, amazing amazing amazing, 10 skulls for this one!!!
